Church in Budry
An interesting architectonic building in the village is the single-nave church in Budry. Historical sources mention the establishment of a parish in Budy in 1724.
However, construction was delayed until King Friedrich Wilhelm I threatened the then alderman with the gallows if he did not act immediately. In 1739 the church was completed and consecrated by superintendent George Andrew Helwing. The wooden tower of the church collapsed in 1882, but six years later the brick tower was rebuilt.
